Pietro “Peter” Cimino—founder and visionary behind Pietro’s Favorite premium product line, and the restaurateur behind Mama Cimino’s Pizza in Las Vegas, Pizza Bar in Laguna Beach, and Surfside Pizza in San Clemente—honors the legacy of his parents, Antonio “Tony” and Domenica “Mama” Cimino. Restaurateurs for over 30 years, they instilled in Pietro a deep love for food, family, and tradition. Today, he continues their legacy by crafting authentic, high-quality products rooted in Italian heritage.      

The Pietro’s Favorite product line includes Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a line of Flavor-Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oils in Garlic, Basil, Chili, Lemon, and Truffle, Authentic Italian Lemon Ice in Original Lemon and Strawberry Lemon, and a vibrant range of Lemonades in Original Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, Passion Fruit-Orange-Guava, and Watermelon Habanero.

A Tradition of Excellence Bottled in Every Drop

Rooted in the rich agricultural heritage of Italy, Pietro’s Favorite Olive Oil begins its journey in a region where the land, climate, and centuries of tradition come together in perfect harmony. At the family-operated mill, a continuous cycle oil plant capable of processing 5,000 kg of olives per hour is used—honoring age-old techniques while embracing modern precision.Our extra virgin olive oil is extracted solely through cold pressing and mechanical methods, preserving the oil’s natural vibrancy, full-bodied flavor, and healthful properties. 

Following extraction, the oil is stored in stainless steel silos equipped with a nitrogen system, ensuring freshness and protecting against oxidation. The storage environment is carefully maintained between 64–68°F and continuously monitored—an ideal range that safeguards the oil’s elegant aroma, golden-green hue, and rich, layered flavor profile.

Mama Cimino, the heart behind the beloved Mama Cimino’s Pizza, comes from Aragona—a sun-drenched town in Sicily’s Agrigento province known for its rich culinary traditions and fertile olive groves. That heritage lives on in every Pietro’s Favorite product, where time-honored Sicilian techniques and values are blended with only the finest ingredients to deliver authentic flavor and exceptional quality.

Pietro’s Favorite: A Taste of Legacy

Pietro’s Favorite began long before Pietro himself. Its origins trace back to Elsberry, England, in the early 1900s, when Pietro’s maternal uncles, Giovanni and Luigi, first began selling lemon ice as Italian immigrants striving to support their family during difficult times.

Pietro honors their legacy by continuing the tradition—infusing his products with the same passion, resilience, and authenticity that shaped his family’s journey. Today, Pietro’s Favorite stands as a tribute to heritage and a celebration of flavor, crafted for a new generation to enjoy.
